Our Story

Agrichikitsa is created to resolve agricultural issues like improper use of Agri-inputs, post-harvest losses, pests, weeds, and disease attacks on crops. Since the reach of smart and mechanized farming in rural areas is limited and not everyone is aware of it. Hence, we at Agrichikitsa, offer integrated and tech-based farming practices that cover various domains of agriculture and provide quality assurance to farmers, investors, and consumers. We also train the farmers on how to precisely use their resources to maximize the yield and profit.

The Journey of AgriChikitsa
Agrichikitsa
Empowering Indian Farmers from Seed to Harvest

Agrichikitsa was founded in response to the pressing challenges faced by Indian farmers, particularly highlighted during the pandemic. The crisis exposed the vulnerabilities of food systems and underscored the essential role of agriculture in sustaining communities. As migrant workers returned to their villages, Agrichikitsa identified a critical need for innovative solutions to empower rural farmers.

The Journey and Vision

Agrichikitsa's journey began with a commitment to creating a comprehensive platform that offers farmers the tools, knowledge, and support necessary to thrive. The startup undertook extensive research and engaged directly with farmers to gain a deep understanding of their specific needs and challenges. This groundwork shaped the vision of Agrichikitsa as a technology-driven solution designed to revolutionize agriculture at the grassroots level.

The Role of thingQbator

thingQbator has played a pivotal role in Agrichikitsa's growth. The mentorship, guidance, and financial support provided by thingQbator were crucial in transforming the initial concept into a viable product. Through a 4-month mentorship program, Agrichikitsa gained the expertise and resources needed to develop their Minimum Viable Product (MVP) and validate their approach. The Rs. 5.50 Lakh grant from thingQbator further enabled the development and refinement of their solutions.

Impact and Future Goals

Agrichikitsa has made significant strides in empowering farmers and enhancing agricultural practices. The establishment of Agrichikitsa Centers in multiple villages has benefited thousands of farmers. The startup’s focus on integrated nutrient management, pest and disease control, crop care practices, and good agricultural practices has resulted in increased yields and reduced post-harvest losses. Looking ahead, Agrichikitsa is committed to expanding its impact. Collaborations with SRLM Singrauli in Madhya Pradesh and plans to extend operations to more districts in Uttar Pradesh highlight the startup's dedication to reaching a broader audience. The upcoming launch of the Agrichikitsa app will further improve accessibility and convenience for farmers.

Conclusion

Agrichikitsa stands as a testament to the power of innovation and the potential of technology to transform lives. With continued support from partners like thingQbator, Agrichikitsa is poised to create a sustainable and prosperous future for Indian agriculture.
